Cannabis Wellness Consultant & Yoga Teacher

Maybe nothing is working so your doctor or loved one suggested a medical cannabis card. Maybe someone you know found relief at a dispensary, or you’ve seen one of the many articles or documentaries touting its benefits. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by all the options. Please allow me to use my knowledge & experience to help demystify cannabis & allow you to access its benefits.

 FAQs

  • I began my journey as a medical cannabis pilot program patient for PTSD, and eventaually became a patient care specialist & community outreach team member at Compassionate Care Center in Naperville. I grew my knowledge through hands-on work with a wide range of patients, from anxious folks in their 80s losing access to their long term pain management prescriptions to parents desperate to help their profoundly autistic or epileptic children…and everyone in between. I saw how with the right education and guidance, patients became empowered to explore products they were wary of and oftentimes, were able to drastically improve their quality of life. Helping people along their path to healing was profoundly rewarding.

After the legalization of recreational cannabis I saw this dedication to educating and helping begin to dwindle and eventually, totally leave dispensaries in the area. I left the medical cannabis industry.

After the birth of my son I was left with lingering issues and pain. I fell back on my knowledge of cannabis to ease my symptoms to such a remarkable degree that both (yes, I go to two) my physical therapists took notice.

I was reminded of the profound change access to this plant, and the knowledge of how to effectively use it, can enact in a suffering persons life and am dedicated to sharing this as much as I am able.

I have undergone yoga teacher training (RYT 250) with Prairie Yoga and am due to be registered by the end of the summer. This training has included modifications for all levels of ability, ayurvedic principles, breath work, and meditation.

  • I will say that there are not really cannabis specific credentials from reputable institutions…yet.

I was licensed as a Medical Cannabis Dispensary agent through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional regulation from 2018-2020. I also completed the brand new dispensary agent training that the state required upon the legalization of recreational cannabis.

Less relevant, I earned a degree in Baking and Patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago.

-Explore what options may be most effective at relieving your specific concerns and learn how each option may feel.

-Design a plan and shopping list.

-Track progress and changes as we explore different options.

If you are more experienced with cannabis and would like to deepen your knowledge I can also help you:

-Learn about unfamiliar methods of delivery, eg; dabs and other concentrates, RSO, tinctures, suppositories, topicals.

-Learn how to make your own, much more potent, edibles and topicals.

  • I am close to wrapping up my 250 hour yoga teacher training course, and I will be a registered yoga teacher by the end of the summer.
